Our Story

Christina is one of the founders of Guangzhou Eletree Electronic Co., Ltd. Her firstborn daughter, Xinxin, was three years old at the time. Like many children her age, Xinxin loved fun, colourful, and interactive experiences—but she showed little interest in books.

What touched Christina most, however, was something much deeper. Cantonese is Christina's mother tongue—a living ancient Chinese language with a rich history and profound cultural heritage. She grew up speaking it, and she deeply wished her daughter could speak it too. But in a household where Mandarin and English were more commonly used, Xinxin simply couldn't understand or speak Cantonese.

Christina wanted to teach her—but not through dull repetition or force. She wanted Xinxin to enjoy the process, to learn with laughter and curiosity, and to fall in love with both the language and the culture behind it. She dreamed of a way to make learning Cantonese as joyful and engaging as play itself—a book that could speak, make sounds, and interact with a child, turning every page into a delightful discovery.

Drawing on her years of experience in the electronics field, Christina came across an inspiring concept: an e-book that plays sounds when you press the pictures, teaches pronunciations, and even includes interactive designs to keep children engaged. This, she thought, is exactly what I've been looking for—a way to make language and cultural learning feel like a game, not a lesson.

So she decided to develop it herself. After six months of hard work, the first sample was ready. Christina played with it alongside Xinxin—and Xinxin was absolutely captivated. She kept asking her mom to play with her again and again. Before long, she began picking up Cantonese, along with Mandarin and English, all through joyful interaction. More importantly, she was learning with a smile—exploring words, sounds, and cultural connections in a way that felt natural and fun.

Seeing how much it helped her own daughter, Christina wanted to bring this to more families. She knew that many parents—whether in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, or overseas Chinese communities—share the same hope: to pass on their language and culture to their children, and to make that journey a happy one. That's why she decided to have ELETREE develop this e-book and share it with the world—to make reading fun, to celebrate cultural roots, and to help every child learn language and heritage with joy and ease.

That's how our story began. And it's still being written. We hope more partners will join us on this journey.

ELETREE – Happy touching, Happy learning!
